Excellent glamping, peaceful, relaxing, and well located - we can't recommend enough! Pick GTWW now!

This was our 4th stay with GTWW and every trip has been excellent - we have stayed in all 4 tents now and they have all been brilliant and well stocked and looked after.

The whole experience is very peaceful without feeling isolated; the location is amazing with views of the river Yar and good walks including to Yarmouth (for ice cream and ferry) and the Needles (for exercise!) - the tents are super comfortable and very well provided for - each tent has enough outside room to feel private, but close enough to feel part of the whole. Lots of good beaches near by (Compton and Colwell Bay especially good) and much to see and do.

The firepit was lit every night (firelighters, marshmallows, matches, charcoal, and wood all included), we cooked out most nights, and this year we had kids from 3 or the 4 tents toasting marshmallows and singing the spaghetti song - but all silent after 10pm!

The hosts are amazing and are easy to get in touch with, we had a minor problem and they came and fixed it within 15 mins - we can't fault that! And they even came to say goodbye, which was lovely!

This year we had 7 of us as we took the adult kids too and it didn't feel like a squeeze; one of them said it is their favourite place to stay on the island.

We can't recommend enough! Go here!!!

Absolutely magical!

The day before we departed we received an invite to download the GTWW app which was fabulous to prepare us for our stay.
From the moment we walked through the little gate next to a beautiful field of sunflowers, we said ‘wow’ and instantly felt calm. It was clear how much thought and care had gone into every single detail. The setting was peaceful and beautifully maintained, with the perfect balance of wild nature and cozy comfort.

Our tent was immaculate. Gorgeously styled with solid wood, plush bedding, and little luxuries like hot water bottles, fluffy towels, and toiletries. The bed was very comfortable – we all slept really well (2 adults 2 children).

Every element felt so considered: fairy lights, warm blankets for chilly evenings, a well-equipped kitchen, and even eco-friendly toiletries in the spotless bathroom. Garden games, indoor games, and the comfy swing chair and marshmallows were provided for the fire pit!

It’s rare to find somewhere that feels both indulgent and grounding at the same time. This place is a little haven. If you’re looking for a glamping experience that is equal parts beautiful, comfortable, and truly thoughtful, this is it. We can’t wait to return.

What a gem of a place!

We had an excellent 6 night stay in The Mottistone. The safari tent is brilliant and had everything our family needed. The setting is stunning with views towards the river yar from the porch. The safari tent is spacious, well kept and comfortable. On arrival, we were straight in thanks to the informative welcome email. There was milk in the fridge and marshmallows waiting to be toasted. The kitchen had a gas stove and everything we needed during our stay. More than enough wood, charcoal and lighting equipment for the wood burning stove and bbq/firepit. The porch egg chair was a great relaxing spot my husband fell asleep in every time! The porch child gate was a very welcome addition with a wandering 2yr old! The paddock was well kept, secure and my son loved running to look at the horses in the next field. It was tranquil, private off grid and just what we wanted. In the tent, the bedrooms gave ample space and were very comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious with the large freestanding bath and the outside shower was great. Everything worked as it should and we had no issues with hot water or solar power. Communication with the hosts was also good throughout. The overall location is great but nothing on IoW is that far really. The local pub was less than a 10minute stroll and we had no issues with our trail buggy down the footpath. There’s plenty more exploring to do and we will definitely stay with GTWW again. Thankyou for a wonderful experience. 10/10.

We had a wonderful stay last week and we were all sad to leave.

Such a relaxing environment with just the right balance of adventure, luxury and plenty of nature. The team had thought of all the little touches that made it so special. We had a minor glitch with the hot water which was resolved within an hour. Absolutely lovely hosts . Close to beautiful beaches and would recommend a trip to all the independent shops in Yarmouth too, so friendly. Thank you to the whole team at GTWW. We really hope to come back ASAP!

‘‘Glamping to the extreme;  leather sofas, fur throws, slate topped kitchen work surfaces and to top it all a log fired cooker and oven in the centre. Luckily also a gas hob to make early morning tea before you stoke the fire. The wood fired water heater next to the bath was a hit with the ladies. The site is located on a beautiful farm with hedging that means you get a perfect view of the river and fields but no one can look in on you. We had an amazing weekend and I think all were in agreement that we want to book again for next year.’’

Danny

‘’Very clean and beautifully presented. Well organised and all amenities on hand. We had a most enjoyable experience. Very helpful hosts, would recommend this site to those who enjoy a family experience in the outdoors and those looking to visit different attractions on The Isle of Wight!’’

Melissa

‘’A lovely location in a field behind Freshwater with great views across the river Yar, it is very quiet which we were looking for. We have family on the island and needed a place to stay, this place was funky and extremely comfortable. I think it could be described as glamping, but it was more than that and, at night, once the doors were shut, you would be hard pushed to notice that you were in a tent (OK, so the nights were warm and maybe in winter you would need to light the log burner). The beds were super comfortable! The firepit was great, as was the free wood, some good cookouts were had. As was sitting have a late night drink on the floating chair! Great place, totally enjoyable.’’

Toby

‘’We live on the other side of the Island but feel we have travelled to another planet! Absolutely amazing weekend of outdoor living around the fire pit, evening swims in the Yar and Red Lion/Off the Rails lunches. This place is so well thought through & loved.’’

Dawn

‘’A gem of a place. Stunning views, big warm beds, outdoor shower & a big indoor roll top bath! So much thought has gone into these tents...the attention to detail is second to none. This is glamping with a CAPITAL G! Go....you will not be disappointed.... infact they are so lovely, they might reduce you to tears, like it did me! :)’

Camilla

‘’My friends and I booked a week away on the Isle of Wight as a summer treat. We had a really special week at Glamping the Wight Way and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a week away with a touch of luxury! The tents themselves are very impressive and have everything you may need, and more! There are lots of special little touches which show the owner has clearly thought of everything. We especially enjoyed the roll top bath with a glass of wine, and enjoyed our time in the evenings with the doors open letting in the beautiful view. The local area has numerous attractions such as designated walks, beaches, little towns and is very close to the cycle path straight into the local town of Yarmouth which is bustling with independent shops and restaurants. Can’t wait…’’

Elle

‘’These safari tents are incredible. They are definitely high end luxury. The owners have gone the extra mile and thought of everything. 2 loos, a bath tub and outdoor shower - brilliant. The views are amazing and the location great for walking, cycling and paddle boarding. We will definitely be back.’’

"Perfect!! Such a fabulous holiday: beautiful views, beautiful tents, comfy beds, hot showers, peace and tranquillity! We will definitively return. Ideal to let go and just appreciate the essential things in life, just in finer detail! Nothing was too much trouble to the GTWW Team too. Top marks! We felt refreshed, despite travelling with a toddler and a baby! So that says a lot".
